In Part 1, we ascertained that the fullness of JESUS CHRIST is meant to fill all in all. And the fullness of JESUS CHRIST is communicated through the Body of MESSIAH, the Church.
Two verses testify to this reality:
- In Ephesians 1:23c (NKJV), the Body of CHRIST (MESSIAH) is described as “the fullness of Him (JESUS CHRIST) who fills all in all”.
- John 1:16-17 (NASB) tells us that: <16 … of His fullness [the fullness of JESUS CHRIST] we have all received, and grace upon grace. 17 For the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ. >
The actualization of the fullness of JESUS CHRIST is a revelation to our heart.
In this light, 2 Corinthians 3:3 (NKJV) reads: < 3 clearly you are an epistle of Christ … written not with ink but by the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of flesh, that is, of the heart. >
The revelation of the fullness of JESUS CHRIST is called the Mystery. And every member of the Body of CHRIST (MESSIAH) is called to be a participant in the revelation of the Mystery of CHRIST.
Colossians 1:26-29 (NKJV) reads: < 26 the mystery which has been hidden from ages and from generations, but now has been revealed to His saints. 27 To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. 28 Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus. >
Understand that the Mystery hidden from past ages and generations is opened to the inward parts of the disciple of JESUS CHRIST.
Our inward parts are identified in Hebrews 4:12 as being our spirit, our soul and our heart.
We are reminded in 2 Corinthians 4:16 (NKJV) that: < 16 … we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. 17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, 18 while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal. >
The fullness of YESHUA MASHIAH (JESUS CHRIST) that is to be revealed and developed in our inward parts is the essential and fundamental ministry of the HOLY SPIRIT who indwells us.
In John 16:14-15, YESHUA explains: < 14 “He will glorify Me, for He will take of Mine and will disclose it to you. 15 “All things that the Father has are Mine; therefore I said that He takes of Mine and will disclose it to you. >
The Mystery that comprises the fullness of JESUS CHRIST involves “all things that the FATHER has”!
We need to pursue the fullness of Him that will make us a new creation that is of His fullness!
Ephesians 2:10 (NASB) reads: < For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them. >
2 Corinthians 5:17 (NASB) reads: < Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come. >
John 1:16-17 (NASB) reads: < For of His fullness we have all received, and grace upon grace. For the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ. >
2 Corinthians 2:6-7 (NKJV) reads: < For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us. >
Prayer in an intimacy (see Eph 1:17-19), by the SPIRIT, through worship, is the Key of David that unlocks the treasure of the only begotten SON in the Bosom of the FATHER (see John 1:18; 1 Cor 2:10). GBU!
